The Roots to Launch Initiative

Roots to Launch is building community-based businesses that provide meaningful employment opportunities for young adults with disabilities in Lake Oswego.

Our vision is simple: create real businesses, serving real customers, while providing meaningful jobs that allow individuals to develop skills, earn wages, build confidence, and contribute to their community.

Each business will be intentionally designed around the strengths, interests, and talents of the young adults we employ. Whether through food service, retail, creative services, or other community-focused ventures, our goal is to create workplaces where every employee can succeed and grow.

Unlike traditional programs, our businesses are designed to be integrated into the fabric of Lake Oswego.

Employees will interact with customers, collaborate with coworkers, and build relationships with local residents and businesses. Through these experiences, they will gain valuable job skills while becoming visible and valued members of the community.
